Robert Lewandowski will reportedly hand in a transfer request in his crunch meeting with Bayern Munich.
Lewandowski’s agent Pini Zahavi is in Munich today to discuss the star forward’s current contract situation.
He’s contracted with the Bundesliga giants until 2023, with speculation mounting about his future.
However, according to French outlet RMC Sport, Lewandowski wants to leave the club with Zahavi set to put in a transfer request.
The 33-year-old has been strongly linked with a stunning move to Barcelona, who have been working on a potential deal for weeks.
He’s their main target ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Poland international has enjoyed yet another ultra-prolific campaign at Bayern, scoring an incredible 48 goals in all competitions this season.
But it seems his legendary eight-year spell at the club is coming to an end, with a move to La Liga on the cards.
Speaking to Sky Sports Germany last month, Lewandowski hinted he would be willing to leave Bayern at the end of the season.
“I am open to everything,” he said.
“I’m quiet. It is important for me to be able to focus on my game, always on what can happen in the last match.
“Everything that remains to be done regarding contracts is a secondary issue and remains in the background.”
