Reasons Why Chelsea May Miss Out On Knockout Stage In UCL As They Face AC Milan & Salzburg

are looking forward to a successful season with Tuchel already having brought in Koulibaly, Raheem Sterling, Cucurella and Chukwuemeka all in this summer.

Anthony Gordon from the Everton side and Aubameyang are being linked with the club as per Daily Mail report.

However the Champions League group stage draw is out and a well playing Chelsea side have been drawn with RB Salzburg. As well as AC Milan and Dinamo Zagreb.

Chelsea already have in this season struggled in the Premier League with defeat to the Leeds United.

As well as a draw against Tottenham Hotspur but picked a win against Everton in the opening fixture of the Premier League. A look into why Chelsea may find themselves missing out on the knockout stage of the Champions League football this season.

Firstly, already the blues are struggling domestically with defeat against Leeds United a major concern for the manager and fans. The level of commitment from the players seems to be far from convincing or possibly they aren’t getting the manager’s tactics right.

Secondly, Tuchel has not replaced Romelu Lukaku who joined a well established Inter Milan side on loan this summer. And their former striker Timo Werner who managed to join RB Leipzig for £25m permanent deal.

This are strikers which could have helped Tuchel in scoring the much needed goals. Having Kai and Raheem Sterling is not the exact kind of players to lead the team on all fronts this season to scoring goals responsibilities.

Thirdly, Tuchel had allowed Olivier Giroud and Tomori to join AC Milan previous which leaves them with a point to prove to the manager.

Coming back at Stamford Bridge may be a revenge mission for the two players. Trying to show the fans how good they are despite having to exit the club previously in huge blow to Tuchel.
