UrbanNews Gh can confirm that Kylian Mbappe has decided to extend his contract with Paris Saint-Germain, with the 23-year-old set to sign a three-year agreement.
Real Madrid made an offer to sign the forward this summer after his current contract expires at the end of the season.
He has, however, opted to stay at PSG for the time being and has signed a new contract.
The striker’s contract extension is anticipated to be announced after PSG’s final Ligue 1 match of the season on Saturday evening against Metz.
Mbappe’s mother, Fayza Al-Amari, said last week that there would be no further talks because her son had made deals with both PSG and Real Madrid.
According to Al-Amari, there are no significant differences in the contracts, and it will be up to the player to choose which club he wants to play for next season.
PSG has had another successful season with Mbappe. He tops Ligue 1 in scoring with 25 goals and assists with 17. He has 36 goals in 45 games across all competitions.
Despite his excellent individual performances, the French giants’ season has been unimpressive.
They won Ligue 1, but it was their sole trophy this season when Real Madrid knocked them out of the Champions League in the last-16 round and they missed out on the Coupe de France.
