Jesse Lingard, a Manchester United midfielder, has sent an emotional farewell note to fans ahead of his departure from Old Trafford.
When his contract with United expires, the midfielder will leave on a free transfer, ending a more than 20-year history with the Red Devils.
Despite his long tenure at the Theatre of Dreams, Lingard faded away in his final seasons with the club.
During the 2020-21 season, he was loaned out to West Ham United before returning for the 2021/22 season.
However, he was unable to secure a significant role in the club during the recently completed season, resulting in his departure.
