Kylian Mbappe Explains What PSG Lacked Under Mauricio Pochettino Last Season

Kylian Mbappe, a star player for Paris Saint-Germain (), has criticized his team’s inconsistent performance under manager Mauricio Pochettino. 

According to Sky Sports, the Ligue 1 heavyweights are reportedly ready to fire the strategist, despite PSG winning the championship by 15 points. The Argentine’s performance in the UEFA Champions League, though, appeared to be his downfall.

Mbappe has shared his thoughts on the previous two seasons in Paris, where it appears that the city’s residents are looking for a new manager.

Speaking to BFMTV (via Daily Star), he said: “This past season, we weren’t as fearsome. We were far less untouchable. We want to go back to being intimidating in France, something we have not done these past two years.”

Pochettino, who last season won his first league championship in his coaching career, couldn’t outsmart in the UEFA Champions League round of 16. According to Goal, PSG and the former Tottenham Hotspur manager are currently negotiating a €15 million separation settlement.
