We can’t expect all of France’s superstars to take the field against Bafana Bafana, but N’Golo Kante will.
Imagine Tebogo Mokoena of Bafana Bafana running circles around Chelsea and N’Golo Kante of France. That’s what we’re hoping for on Tuesday.
BAFANA BAFANA VS FRANCE
We’re approaching the most exciting Tuesday of 2022. South Africa’s national team will face world champions France in an international friendly, as we’ve confirmed in the last week or so.
Deschamps, on the other hand, has assured us that N’Golo Kante will be on the field on Tuesday.
The game will begin at 9:15 p.m. on Tuesday at the Stade Pierre Mauroy. It will be the first meeting between the two teams since Bafana Bafana defeated Les Bleus 2-1 in the 2010 World Cup.
To be honest, we are not a powerful nation, and we should not expect France’s manager, Didier Deschamps, to field his best players.
KANTE WILL PLAY, SAYS DESCHAMPS.
Deschamps said Kante will be involved in a press conference before a training session on Saturday after his team defeated Ivory Coast 2-1 in a friendly on Friday night.
According to Sports Illustrated, Deschamps told the press, “(N’Golo) Kante will be there for the second match.”
“(Presnel) Kimpembe is better and will participate in the session,” he added.
It’s now up to Mokoena, Mothobi Mvala, and Thabang Monare to go up against Kante, while Evidence Makgopa is expected to go up against Kimpebe’s class as well.
Meanwhile, the SABC, which broadcast Bafana Bafana’s friendly against Guinea on YouTube last Friday, has yet to comment on the France game.
