He’s a gift fallen out of the sky – Xavi hails Barcelona star

Xavi Hernandez, the Barcelona manager, has praised Gabon captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, describing him as a “gift from the sky.”

In Barcelona’s 4-0 LaLiga victory over Osasuna on Sunday, Aubameyang scored a goal.

Since joining the club from Arsenal on transfer deadline day in January, the 32-year-old has been a revelation for Xavi’s side.

“Aubameyang is a present that has fallen out of the sky,” Xavi said at a news conference as Barcelona defeated Osasuna.

“It’s not just [the goals], it’s how he trains and his professionalism.

“He’s an example, [all the players] are.”

In the Europa League on Thursday, Aubameyang will try to lead Barcelona to victory against Galatasaray.
