Graffiti Legend KRINK Teams Up With Vans Vault For Three-Shoe Collection

The two-letter tag “KR” requires no introduction to those familiar with the graffiti scenes of New York City and San Francisco in the 1980s and 1990s; “KRINK” should also ring a bell for those infatuated with high-quality markers and other artistic equipment. Craig Costello, for the uninformed, is a Queens-based graffiti legend who has collaborated with some of the world’s most recognizable businesses. KR has recently collaborated with Vault by Vans on a three-pair capsule.

The “OFF THE WALL” trio due to be released on March 25th is definitely Costello’s, despite the lack of the drip-detailing normally associated with the NYC-native. Two pairs of Vans Old Skools feature “KRINK NEW YORK CITY” branding on the profiles and top of the tongue, in classic “Black/White” and “Navy” colors. A companion Vans Authentic takes a different approach, featuring a knit-like upper in a grey colorway that’s not too unlike KR’s signature silver. All three pairs have pull tabs at the heel for easy on and off, as well as a reinforced midsole for increased durability that’s suitable for any activity.
