Chelsea Legend Didier Drogba Becomes First African To Be Inducted Into Premier League Hall Of Fame

Didier Drogba, a Chelsea legend, has been inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame, an award scheme that honors the best players to have graced the league since its start in 1992.

He was inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame with Sergio Aguero, Paul Scholes, Didier Drogba, Vincent Kompany, Ian Wright, and Peter Schmeichel for the class of 2022.

His most recent achievement, becoming the first African to be inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame, follows his approval to run for the presidency of the Ivorian Football Federation. 

Didier Drogba, the Ivorian football legend, has been inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame, joining an exclusive list of Premier League greats.

Drogba established himself in the Premier League as the man for big moments, scoring crucial goals for the Blues during a trophy-laden period at Stamford Bridge. 

The four-time Premier League champion Chelsea legend scored 104 goals in 254 Premier League appearances for the Blues, winning two Golden Boot awards in 2006/07 and 2009/10. 

He was recently cleared to run for the presidency of the Ivorian Football Federation and is the first African to be inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame.
