Chelsea’s Champions League exit, according to Rudiger, was due to two Real Madrid players.

The visitors made an extraordinary recovery from a two-goal deficit in the first leg, with Rudiger scoring to put Chelsea up 4-3 on aggregate.

After the game, Rudiger couldn’t stop gushing about the talent of Modric and Benzema, both of whom are in their late 30s.
“Over the two legs if you make these kind of mistakes you get punished,” he told BTSport.
“It was a do or die for us. Before the game not everybody thought we could get to 3-0 but then the individual class comes to light with Modric and Benzema, now we are here.”
