6 Top Players Who Could Make U-Turn To Their Former Clubs This Summer

As expected, a meeting between Paul Pogba’s agents and Juventus is currently taking place in Turin, with Raiola group lawyer Rafaela Pimenta handling the negotiations.

Pogba has already rejected offers from Manchester City, but Paris Saint-Germain is still in the running. The French midfielder won’t be playing for Manchester United next season.

Asides from Paul Pogba, the other five players who could go back to their former clubs include Christian Eriksen, Alexandre Lacazette, Luis Suarez, Gareth Bale, and Angel Di Maria. These players’ contracts with their current club will expire at the end of the season. Arsenal is already in talks with Manchester City over the potential signing of Gabriel Jesus which means that Lacazette could be heading back to Lyon if the deal pushes through.

Gareth Bale who did very well at Tottenham last season could be moving to the club this summer. Bale was an unused substitute in the majority of Real Madrid’s games this season. His contract with the club will expire this year and there is a chance he could go back to Tottenham as a free agent. However, the Welshman will be willing to lower his wages to seal this move.

Bale is not the only one who could head back to his former club Tottenham. Eriksen has made a major comeback to the Premier League after his incredible performance for Brentford this season. He could finally return to Tottenham Hotspur, but he might not be playing the full 90 minutes to protect him from the injury that almost ended his career.

Paris Saint-Germain is yet to extend Angel Di Maria’s contract, which suggests that the Argentine winger might be forced to go back to his former club Benfica.

Di Maria has struggled to impress this season, despite scoring in the french champions’ last League game, landing a new contract might be almost impossible. This is because his performance has not been convincing this season.
