11 world-class players Kylian Mbappe included in his ‘Ideal Squad’

Back in 2017, when was still a Monaco player, Foot Mercato asked him to pick the best 11 players that would make his own team.

And the quality of the striker’s squad is impressive with the Brazilian-Portugal Ronaldo duo upfront and Messi with as wingers. Zidane and Ronaldinho would form a super creative midfield and the quartet of R. Carlos, Maldini, Ramos and Cafu would defender Buffon’s goal.

has a massive Instagram following. As at the point of writing, Leo has a staggering 198 million followers on the social platform. That’s more than the population of many countries.

On the flip side, Messi is following just 236 users. The question is which top footballers outside, and Argentina stars, does Leo follow on Insta? Does he follow Cristiano Ronaldo or Erling Haaland, perhaps?

Tribuna.com did some digging on Leo’s Instagram handle. Here’s what we found.

While Messi follows the likes of David Beckham, Thibaut Courtois and even clubs like Chelsea and , the Barca captain doesn’t follow his arch-rival Ronaldo neither does he follow Haaland.

Back in 2017/18, Karim Benzema was having a torrid season. By the end of February, he had just 3 league goals, despite making 18 appearances.

Step up, Cristiano Ronaldo. Los Blancos’ then-captain was on a hat-trick vs Deportivo Alaves when Gareth Bale was brought down in the 89th minute. The Portuguese was the designated penalty taker.

Instead, he passed up the opportunity to net his third and handed the ball over to Benz. Most probably wouldn’t remember it otherwise but there’s a catch: just yesterday Leo Messi did exactly the same thing when Barcelona faced Getafe.

The Argentine was on a hat-trick but opted to give the ball to Antoine Griezmann for the spot-kick which was given deep into injury time. Up to you who did it best.
